28.08. bis 02.09.22 Jonas, Harald, Markus, Robert and Fang present our results at the International Mass Spectrometry Conference in Maastricht.

24.06.2022: Markus Rohdenburg is one of the 611 young scientists from 91 countries taking part in the 71st Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in Lindau from June 26 to July 1, 2022
The 71st Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting (Chemistry) will serve as an opportunity for the participants to exchange ideas and to get in personal contact with about 30 Nobel Laureates. The participants were selected in two application procedures, including Markus from our working group, who was nominated by the Volkswagen Foundation for participation. Since its foundation in 1951, the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting has developed into a unique international scientific forum. We are looking forward to hearing what Markus will report. Good luck!

08.03.2022:  Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Prize for Jonas Warneke
Four female and six male researchers are to receive the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Prize this year – the top award for early career investigators in Germany.

23.02.2022: Bremer Study Award for Markus Rohdenburg
Markus Rohdenburg receives the Bremer Study Award for his doctoral thesis. Congratulations!

14.02.2022: A contract has been signed with IOM
The Ion Soft-landing laboratory at IOM is now officially a joint lab of our group with the IOM. A contract has been signed.

23.11.2021: Duc defends his Master thesis on the deposition of Cyclodextrine-Polyoxovanadate host guest complexes, conducted at the IOM soft-landing lab.

October 2021: The first Leipzig ion soft-landing papers are published. We report about our discovery on the generation of trianions by deposition of electrophilic anions (here) and together with the Laskin group we report new possibilities to deposit fragment ions (here).

01.10.21 Robert Schiewe starts his doctorial studies with us via the Research Training Group "1,2,3H". Welcome Robert!

03.09.21: Robert successfully defends his Master thesis about combined soft-landing and PEEM investigations. Congratulations!

13.09.21: Jonas and Sebastian show first results from our Polymer-project at the CRC Retreat in Bad Schandau: An Oligomer formed by deposition of the radical [B12Br11O]2- into layers of vinyl-benzene-sulfonate.

09.07.21: Francine defends her extended lab course work in "Ion softlanding", which she did at the IOM.

25.06.21: Sebastian and Jonas show first successes on radical polymerization with deposited radical starters on a poster at the CRC TRR102 meeting.

17.06.21: Our paper on π-backbonding of electrophilic anions is published, see cover (right) A press release and a video about the article:

22.03.21: Myriam successfully defends her Bachelor thesis and Anna-Mae her extended lab course work. Congratulations!

21.03.21: The Fonds der Chemischen Industrie support our group with a material cost allowence. This is an important basis for the planned extensions of our instrument.

16.01.2021 The first fragment ion deposition on our new instrument at the WOI was generated and analyzed.

01.12.2020: Markus Rohdenburg becomes part of our group, welcome!

23.11.2020: Congratulations to Sebastian Kawa for receiving the Herman-Kolbe award for outstanding performance during his Chemistry studies.

15.11.2020: A mass spectrum of [N(C4H9)4]2[B12I12] was recorded with the WOI ion soft-landing instrument. Soft-landing of mass-selected ions is now possible.
