Prof. Dr. Stephan Schunk bestowed with EFACTS Applied Catalysis Award

Prof. Dr. Stephan Schunk, honorary professor for the digitalization in catalysis and material science at the Institute of Chemical Technology (Faculty of Chemistry and Mineralogy of Leipzig University) was awarded with the EFACTS Applied Catalysis Award on the 15th Congress on Catalysis hold in Prague (Czech Republic). This renowned award is given to researchers that made outstanding scientific contributions in the development and scaling of processes with real or potential application in commercials catalysis. Special focus is paid to the interdisciplinary approach connecting the field of chemistry and chemical engineering. We send out our heartfelt congratulation to Prof. Schunk who besides his occupation as Executive Expert at hte GmbH and Vice President at BASF SE also serves as a lecturer at our faculty for many years now.
